Art Pod Meetups

NEW: Northern & Southern Denver Art Pods

Because we’re statewide (and teleportation isn’t an option yet), we’re launching two new Art Pods in Northern and Southern Denver. These small groups will meet in person to make art, talk art, or figure out what they want their time together to be. All members are welcome—location loyalty not required.

Northern Pod – On Saturday, Jan. 24, Patty Fabian hosted seven artists at the Firehouse Art Center in Longmont, CO. Watch for updates on the next meeting

Southern Pod – On Sunday, February 1, Eight artists gathered to make "I am grateful for you" postcards - a reminder that kindness is a radical act. Hosted by Clara Gillihan at the Magpie Art Center in Sedalia, CO, this group plans to meet regularly.

South Pod Meeting – South Pod Mixed Media Gathering: Ecotones & Water

Sun, March 22, 2026
Magpie Art Center, 4138 Rio Grande Ave., Sedalia

11:30 a.m. – Talk by Sandy Stavnes
WCACO members and Sedalia residents are invited to attend a special talk by Sandy Stavnes, who will share insights on water resources and water issues in Colorado. Her presentation will provide meaningful context for artists as they consider water’s role in our landscapes, communities, and creative practices.

1–3 p.m. – South Pod Mixed Media Gathering
WCACO’s South Pod will gather to create mixed media artworks inspired by ecotones and the theme of water. Participants are invited to create mixed media pieces inspired by water, transition, and ecological connection.

All WCACO members are welcome to join this creative and educational gathering. RSVP
