​ART AS A BUSINESS

Saturday, Oct 25, 10am – noon​

via Zoom​

In this 2 hour virtual session, Monica will talk about the business side of being an artist: taxes, trade names, copyright issues, branding, and more. Participants will have time to think about their business model and how that applies to their art practice, and apply some goal setting skills learned in the previous session. She will provide a list of further resources (many of which are free, some are not) for additional advice and workshops in Colorado. For those who are interested in forming business-minded groups beyond this session, she will encourage participants to connect before the session is over.

Annual Holiday Party

SATURDAY, Nov. 15, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

No art gifts, but yes a food drive: We are NOT doing an art/gift exchange for 2025. Instead, we are collecting food donations for Rose Andom Center (RAC) of Denver's pantry. They welcome and need both canned goods and dry goods "Any and all food items help the survivors that come into the building." Please bring at least 1 food item to donate to RAC. Activity: Bring at least 1 business card, if you have them for our activity. Optional: Bring a note, poem, words of wisdom, inspirational quote, prayer, etc. to go along with our activity. 

 

Potluck: NO SEAFOOD! Please bring a food or drink item to share with at least 6 people. Keep in mind the sweet, sour, salty, bitter, umami/savory things to bring.
