Learn the benefits of setting goals, identifying the steps needed to reach them, and
scheduling tasks on a timeline to get them done.

Getting Organized and Exhibiting
The presentation covers how to write an effective artist statement, what to include in an
artist bio, the differences between a CV and a resume, and ideas for creating an
inventory system. The presentation also covers all things related to exhibiting: such as
photographing your artwork, applying to art opportunities, pricing artwork, and preparing
your artwork for display (framing, hanging hardware, labels on the back).

Understand the business side of being an artist: taxes, trade names, copyright issues,
branding, and more. Think about your business model and how that applies to your art
practice and apply goal setting skills learned in the previous session. Provided is a list of
