Artist Statement

​

I create sculptures with a sensory story. I am influenced by sound and touch; both are fundamental in my artistic vocabulary. 
I am a sculptor who grows into an installation
artist very easily, my work expands and builds an environment, it invites exploration. I am an alchemist, everything I do from cooking to artwork has a little of this and a little of that, I combine mediums, textures and symbolism.  I work in stippled patinas, aged coffee, red earth, and lake sand.
I cast bronze, weld, carve stone, scavenge and
stare at flowers.
