Artist Statement
Originally from Rockford Illinois, we relocated to Colorado in 2003. My passion for drawing and painting began at a very young age. I gain inspiration and creative input from my surroundings, travels, and peers. I paint mainly in acrylic, but also in watercolor and oil.
My technique is a freeform approach with a mix of contemporary and abstract styles (impressionist realism) that bring a balance of colors, composition, and texture to a variety of subjects.
Retired from healthcare administration, I now enjoy the experience of painting, and to promote painting started a weekly acrylic painting group within my community.
