Inside/Outside, the Container Between
Proposal:
The Colorado Chapter of Women’s
Caucus for Art proposes a group show of
a selection of their members in the
gallery. These artists would show 2-D
and 3-D artwork that incorporates
anything with a literal or implied
inside and outside, in other words a
container. This allows for the
inclusion of (or images of) houses,
boxes, shrines, drawers, cups, vessels,
clothing and even the human body; and
interpretive pieces that can venture
into ideas of the internal and the
external. It also can allow for
depictions and questions regarding the
container itself and the nature of its
separating edge. A variety of mediums,
such as painting, printmaking,
photography, mixed media, sculpture,
ceramics, and handmade books could be
included. Artwork would run the gamut
from serious and political, to
frivolous and whimsical, plus entertain
both adult and children's audiences.
To participate in any shows you must be a current member of WCA. See ourmembership page for more info. Check out our upcoming shows here. |
